These data were collected by students at Morehouse College in Spring 2023.
Virgin male beetles were reared on pigeon peas (N=8).  Negative control data were subtracted from the sample data.
Eggs were laid on sterile glass beads (N=12 samples).  Each egg sample consists of eggs from one female (LB strain raised on pigeon peas) laid on 5-6 beads.
Beetles were from the LB strain adapted to their host bean for many generations.
Beetles were adults and virgin.
Beetles were surface-sterilized.
Beetles were extracted with QIAGEN DNA-Easy kits.
Sequences are for the v4 region.
