These data were collected by students at Allegheny College in Spring 2023.
Beetles were reared on yard long beans and collected from mass culture. Beans were either sterilized or not. Males (N=5) and females (N=4) were collected.  Negative control data were subtracted from the sample data.
Beetles were non-virgins.
Beetles were from the LB strain raised on Black-eye peas for many generations and then raised for one generation on yard long beans.
Beetles were adults.
Beetles were surface-sterilized.
Beetles were extracted with QIAGEN DNA-Easy kits.
Sequences are for the v4 region.
