This is the last email for today. I promise! We thought that separate emails would be better than one huge long one.
During fall or spring semester next academic year, we would like you to implement a bean beetle experiment in one of your classes and assess your students using a pre-test/post-test format. We will provide the exam in an online format. This might need to be reviewed by your Institutional Review Board (IRB). We will discuss this in more detail at the workshop. However, before the workshop, please determine whether your institution has an IRB and basic information on how to submit a proposal to them. The pre-test/post-test have already been approved by the Emory and Morehouse IRBs. In some cases, your IRB might just want to see a copy of the approval from Emory or Morehouse. In other cases, you might need to submit a proposal. We would provide the information for this. For now, just find out who they are and how to submit a proposal.
Thanks,
Chris
